Unlike CAIR, the well-established and leading US-based civil rights advocacy group or its counterparts in the UK (MEND, Tell Mama, IHRC) or NCCM in Canada, CJL and CCIF in France, ICV and Islamophobia Watch in Australia and others including MPV, MPAC, Muslim Advocates, SPLC, ACLU, etc,. we at Ordinary Muslim Productions are not involved in advocacy or tracking anti-Muslim abuse nor do we have the financial or manpower resources to initiate legal proceedings against individuals or companies behind hate crimes and discriminatory policies towards Muslims.
Instead, our singular goal is adversarial activism i.e., to act as a catalyst so that millions of Muslims will rise up to the challenge and become eloquent activists for themselves.
Ordinary Muslim Productions (OMP) is committed to the aim of:
Generating research and content to help revive the self-confidence of ordinary Muslims (our young children) around the world.
This includes producing responses to the most vile, widely debunked, repeatedly discredited and yet variedly repeated Islamophobic comments levelled against ordinary Muslims and Islam today, in an easy-to-reference Q&A format, targeting local, regional and global media press, policy makers, bloggers, op-ed columnists, television talking-heads and global think-tanks.
Our two key activities include:
Charity where total or partial proceeds from a given project is donated to peace-seeking projects or special causes where for example in May-June 2017, £5020 was raised from the sale of a children’s book (“The Ant & The Hud Hud”) and 100 percent donated to The White Helmets in Syria, a leading charity assisting those injured in the war (click her for proof of payment);
Commercial projects like the proceeds from the book (“Q&A with an Islamophobe” that contains over 200 concise responses to the most vile, widely debunked, repeatedly discredited and yet variedly repeated Islamophobic comments levelled against ordinary Muslims and Islam today, in an easy-to-reference Q&A format) is used to fund initiatives that will help revive the morale and self-confidence of ordinary Muslims worldwide.
Our aim to raise approximately US$260,000 in order to fund and produce research to equip the current and next generation of Muslim children to speak up eloquently and confidently about Islam as a religion of peace to non-Muslims worldwide, using verifiable facts sourced from non-academic contemporary history, political science, the Qur’an and Hadiths.
IF YOU HAVE:
(1) any ideas on how to produce the anti-venom to the poison affecting ordinary Muslims worldwide, we’d like to hear from you;
(2) some constructive criticism about us, we’d also like to hear from you;
(3) an anti-Muslim or anti-Islam viewpoint, we’d like to hear from you, too.
Lets blame ALL Muslims: A satirical look at well….ourselves
